بھارتی ریاست اترپردیش میں پیراملٹری سینٹرل ریزرو پولیس فورس کے ایک ریٹائرڈ اہلکار نے اپنی بیوی کو گولیاں مار کر قتل کر دیا ہے۔
خبررساں ادارے کے مطابق سی آر پی ایف کے ریٹائرڈ اہلکار نے آگرہ شہر میں اپنی بندوق سے بیوی نیتا سنگھ کے سر میں 7 گولیاں مار کر اسے قتل کیا۔سی آر پی ایف اہلکار مہندر سنگھ بیوی کو قتل کرنے کے بعد فرار ہو گیا۔تاہم بعدازاں پولیس نے اسے گرفتار کر لیا۔ریٹائرڈ بھارتی فوجی نے بیوی کو قتل کرنے کا اعتراف کر لیا ہے۔ ڈپٹی کمشنر پولیس وقاص کمار نے میڈیا کو بتایا ہے کہ کسی بات پر جھگڑے کے بعد غصے میں آ کر مہیندر نے اپنی 48 سالہ بیوی نیتا سنگھ کو گولیاں مار کر قتل کیا ہے ۔

*India’s NIA raids several places in Punjab, Haryana in case against Khalistan Tiger Force*

*New Delhi, June 08*

India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted searches at 10 locations in the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana in a case registered against the Sikh representative organization, Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).

The raids were conducted at nine locations in Punjab and one in Haryana in connection with a case of raising funds for the organization.

The NIA had registered a suo moto case on August 20 last year under various sections of Indian Penal Code and draconian law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

In the same case, the NIA arrested two close associates of Canada-based Sikh leader, Arshdeep Singh Dhalla, on May 19 this year soon after they arrived at the Delhi airport from Manila, Philippines, where they had been living. The two leaders identified as Amritpal Singh alias Ammy and Amritk Singh – both hailing from Punjab – were arrested in an early morning by an NIA team, which was waiting at the airport for the arrival of their flight.

The NIA earlier claimed that the two leaders had non-bailable arrest warrants issued against them by the NIA Delhi Court in a case related to organisation’s activities in India. There are several criminal cases registered against them in Punjab.

بھارت کے سینئر سیاستدان اور نیشنلسٹ کانگریس پارٹی کے سربراہ شردپوار نے کہا ہے کہ ملک میں بی جے پی مخالف لہر چل پڑی ہے اور کرناٹک اسمبلی کے حالیہ انتخابی نتائج کو دیکھتے ہوئے بھارت کے عوام تبدیلی چاہتے ہیں۔
شردپوار نے اورنگ آباد میں صحافیوں کے ساتھ ایک ملاقات میں کہا کہ اگر لوگوں کی یہی ذہنیت جاری رہی تو ملک آئندہ پارلیمانی انتخابات میں تبدیلی دیکھے گا۔کرناٹک میں حال ہی میں ہونے والے اسمبلی انتخابات میں بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی کو شکست کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ، جہاں پانچ سال کے وقفے کے بعد کانگریس دوبارہ اقتدار میں آئی۔ بھارتی پارلیمنٹ کے ایوانِ زیریں لوک سبھا کے انتخابات 2024ء میں ہونے والے ہیں جبکہ مہاراشٹر اسمبلی کے انتخابات بھی اگلے سال کے آخر میں ہونے والے ہیں۔مہاراشٹر میں امن و امان کی صورتحال اور تشدد کے واقعات کے بارے میں پوچھے جانے پر شردپوار نے کہا کہ ریاست میں کچھ چھوٹے مسائل کو مذہبی رنگ دیا جا رہا ہے۔ریاست میں امن و امان قائم کرنا حکمرانوں کی ذمہ داری ہے۔ اگر حکمران جماعتیں اور ان کے لوگ سڑکوں پر نکل آئیں گے اور دو مذاہب کے درمیان دراڑ پیدا کریں گے تو یہ اچھی علامت نہیں ہے۔ اُنہوں نے کہا اگر اورنگ آباد میں کسی شخصیت کا پوسٹر لگایا گیا تو پونے میں تشدد بھڑکانے کی کیا ضرورت ہے ، لیکن ایسا رہا ہے۔ شردپوار نے کہاکہ حال ہی میں ہم نے احمد نگر کے بارے میں سنا ، آج کولہاپور سے ایک خبر آئی کہ لوگ سڑکوں پر نکل آئے۔ اُنہوں نے کہاکہ فون پر پیغام بھیجنے کے چھوٹے سے واقعے کو مذہبی رنگ دینا اچھی علامت نہیں ہے لیکن حکمران جماعتیں ایسی چیزوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کر رہی ہیں۔

*Members of Manipur’s Kuki community protest outside Amit Shah’s residence in Delhi*

*New Delhi, June 08*

People from Manipur’s Kuki community held a protest demonstration, today, outside the residence of Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah, in New Delhi against the ongoing violence in the northeastern state.

The protesters were holding placards with messages such as ‘Save Kuki Lives’ and raising slogans.

Police said four of the protesters were allowed to enter the home minister’s residence for a meeting and the rest were shifted to Jantar Mantar.

It is to mention here that at least 98 people have lost their lives and 310 more have been injured so far in the ethnic violence in Manipur that broke out a month ago. A total of 37,450 people are currently sheltered in 272 relief camps in the state.

Clashes first broke out in Manipur on May 3 after a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ was organised in the hill districts to protest against the Meitei community’s demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status.

*Meitei group warns of civil war in Manipur*

*New Delhi, June 08*

The chief of the Meitei Leepun, Pramot Singh, has warned the Indian central government as well the state government of Manipur to intervene quickly otherwise, “there will be civil war”, in the volatile state.

In an interview with renowned Indian journalist, Karan Thapar, Pramot Singh warned both the governments, saying “the Kukis will not be able to defend themselves” if civil war erupts.

Talking about the civil war that he claimed would happen if the government does not intervene, Singh spoke about a 15-kilometre area where, he claimed, the Kukis have set up roadblocks and encroachments, stating bluntly that they would be “wiped out” in that area.

Pramot Singh, who flew from Imphal to Delhi specifically for this interview, claimed the Kukis are “outsiders”. He said “they are not part of the family”, adding they are “not indigenous to Manipur”. He described them as “tenants” in Manipur.

More importantly, he claimed that “the majority of Kukis are illegal” although he did not have any facts to back it.

Through his talk, Pramot Singh expressed the deep dislike that he personally and his organisation seem to feel for the Kukis.

It is to mention here that the Meiteis settled in the Imphal Valley region in modern-day Manipur, are Hindus while majority of the Kuki people, living mainly in hilly areas of the state, are Christians. Tribal Kukis are being killed by Indian army and Meiteiss and BJP government in Manipur.

“Meiteis hate us,” wrote the tribal group, Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum (ITLF), in a letter to the media.

“As it is evident and clear that the Meitei community with the help of the state government machineries has unleashed ethnic cleansing or genocide… It is proven that Meiteis hate us and we see no prospect of living together,” the tribal group wrote.

The tribal groups want a separate state for themselves.
