What is Biochar?

charcoal-like substance that’s made by burning organic material

produced using a specific process to reduce contamination and safely store carbon-the organic material is converted into biochar, a stable form of carbon that can’t easily escape into the atmosphere.

Approximately 70 percent of its composition is carbon. Rest is nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen

Biochar’s chemical composition varies depending on feedstocks used to make it and methods used to heat it.

The Ct value of an RT-PCR reaction is the number of cycles at which fluorescence of the PCR product is detectable over and above the background signal.
The Ct value refers to the number of cycles after which the virus can be detected.

If a higher number of cycles is required, it implies that the virus went undetected when the number of cycles was lower. The lower the Ct value, the higher the viral load — because the virus has been spotted after fewer cycles.

Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) of 1973

It authorises the Executive Magistrate of any state or territory to issue an order to prohibit the assembly of four or more people in an area.

No order under Section 144 shall remain in force for more than two months but the state government can extent the validity for two months and maximum up to six months.

Difference between Section 144 and curfew : In curfew- everything is closed- complete restriction unlike sec 144. ( which promotes social distancing)

Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS)

Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) is a tax avoidance strategy used by multinational companies by exploiting gaps and mismatches in tax rules to artificially shift profits to low or no-tax locations.

The BEPS Action Plan adopted by the OECD and G20 countries in 2013 recognised that the way forward to mitigate risk from base erosion and profit shifting was to enhance transparency.

2021-04-27 12:38:07 There is an oximeter shortage in some parts of the country. Those who don't have an oximeter , I found this app called "MFine" to be handy. It is still under beta testing and may have accuracy issues. But it is definitely better than not having an oximeter at all. ओपन / कमेंट
