The proposals, which will be debated by the California Air Resources Board this week, will formalise targets set by state Governor Gavin Newsom.

The “monumental” plan also includes steps mandating over one-third of cars sold in the state by 2026, and two-thirds by 2030, to be zero emission vehicles.

Experts believe the fossil fuel evolution in ‘s largest economy will likely prod other US States in the same direction.

Several other nations, such as Norway, the UK, Israel and Singapore are also gunning to produce zero tailpipe emissions by having vehicles powered by clean energy.

BRICS International Forum President Purnima Anand told reporters on Wednesday that “there is no need for our countries to use the dollar” after implementing ruble and rupee measures to conduct settlements. “BRICS countries are opening up to Russia, offering the opportunity for the country to overcome the consequences of sanctions,” she added.

Anand also noted that New Delhi considers itself a neutral party in the current sanctions war between the West and Russia, and despite sanctions pressure, will continue cooperation with Moscow “in any areas where necessary.”

“When Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began, naturally there was pressure on India to stop importing Russian oil. But the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had to reject this pressure," she added.

Attorneys at legal firm Haddon, Morgan & Foreman have accused the British heiress, her brother, and estranged husband of conspiring to hide her wealth.

The Colorado-based firm claims it was told that Ghislaine’s brother, Kevin Maxwell would be handling the payments, but they soon “developed concerns” as they only received half of the $250k pre-trial retainer.

On Aug. 11, 2020, HMF notified Kevin Maxwell that the firm “could no longer represent” his sister. Two days later, an agreement was reached in which Kevin Maxwell agreed to “maintain a $100,000 balance in the firm’s client trust account at all times,” according to the lawsuit.

However, $950K was still outstanding when the trial ended in a guilty verdict. $143.5K of this was paid in January, but the rest allegedly remains to be cleared.
