1) Govind Pashu vihar National Park

- Named after Freedom fighter Govind Ballabh pant
- lies in the Garhwal Himalayas, uttarkashi district
- Remaining strong hold of Bearded Vulture (Near threatened)
- Project Snow leopard inaugrated here by GOI

- Located in Uttarkashi district
- habitat consists of coniferous forests, and glaciers.
- The Gaumukh glacier, the origin of river Ganges is located inside the park (Hence Gangotri NP)

- Oldest NP in India, estd in 1936 as Hailey NP to protect Bengal Tiger
- located in Nainital & Pauri Garhwal
- Named after Jim Corbett, well known hunter
- First to come under project Tiger initiative
- Ramganga river flows through the National park
