4) Rajaji National Park

- Encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas
- Named after C. Rajgopalachari, prominent leader of freedom struggle
- Located in Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal & Dehradun
- The Ganga and Song rivers flow through the park.
- Known for Elephants, mountain goat, Gorals

5) Nanda Devi National Park

- Situated around the peak of Nanda Devi, at chamoli district, estd in 1982
- UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988
- Common larger mammals are Himalayan musk deer, mainland serow and Himalayan tahr.

6) Valley of Flowers National Park

- Home to rare and endangered animals : Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer etc
- The park lies completely in the temperate alpine zone
- It's designated as UNESCO World Heritage site
- Part of Nanda devi BR
