Shyok River

The Shyok River ('the river of death') is a tributary of the Indus River.

Shyok merges into Indus In Gilgit Baltistan, that flows through northern Ladakh and enters Gilgit–Baltistan.

The Shyok River originates at the Rimo Glacier, one of the tongues of Siachen Glacier.

The Shyok Valley is the valley of the Shyok River situated in Ladakh, it is close to the Nubra Valley. 

Tributaries : Chang Chen Mon River, Galwan River, Nubra River, Saltoro River.

Kosi River

Koshi or Kosi is also known as Saptakoshi River which consists of Seven koshi rivers originating from Tibet and Nepal.

It is called kosi after the Confluence of Rivers Sun koshi, Arun and Tamor in Tribenighat, Nepal.

Kosi River is a Trans boundary river flowing through Tibet, Nepal and India.

It is a Tributary of River Ganga, merges into Ganga in Kursela, Bihar.

The Koshi River is known as the "Sorrow of Bihar" as the annual floods affects fertile agricultural lands thereby disturbing the rural economy.

River kosi has cultural significance and it's mentioned in Rigveda and Mahabharata as Kausika, kausiki etc.

Brahmaputra River

The Brahmaputra, is a trans-boundary river which flows through Tibet, India and Bangladesh.

It is called as Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibet and originates in Angsi/Chemayungdung Glacier, Mansarovar.

It is the ninth largest river and 15th longest river in the world by discharge.

In the vast Ganges Delta, it merges with the Padma, the popular name of the river Ganges in Bangladesh, and finally, after merging with Padma, it becomes the Meghna and from here, it flows as Meghna river before emptying into the Bay of Bengal

Tributaries :
Left - Dibang river, Dhansiri river, Lohit river and kolong river
Right - kameng river, Manas river, Teesta river, Subansiri river.
