President Biden was heckled by a father of a mass shooting victim as he marked the passage of a federal gun safety law at a White House ceremony in Washington DC on Monday.

"We have to do more than that!" shouted Manuel Oliver, whose son was killed in the 2018 Parkland high school shooting in Florida.

"Sit down, you’ll hear what I have to say," said Biden initially before adding, "Let him talk, let him talk, OK?"

A BBC investigation has identified 54 cases of suspicious killing - carried out by one SAS unit during a 6-month tour in Afghanistan.

The allegations date back to 2010-11 - with the squadron in question apparently hellbent on beating their predecessors’ kill count, hunting out UNARMED people.

The unit claims it was acting in self defence - but one senior officer is sceptical: "too many people were being killed on night raids and the explanations didn't make sense."

Taiwan will resume mandatory evacuation drills this month, when traffic grinds to a halt and pedestrians are ordered to stay indoors.

The 30-minute drills will take place over four days, with sirens ringing out across the island in a mock run of a possible Chinese invasion.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict has renewed security discussions, while China has ramped up its military manoeuvres in the face of US diplomatic efforts to support Taiwan.
