One comment read out at 01:39 was particularly scathing of Prendeville (undeservedly IMO) despite otherwise making some great points.

Bereket Mekonnen (26) received a seven-year jail term after being found guilty in 2007 of raping a 42-year-old woman in the St Stephen's Green area in August 2005.

However, following his release the Eritrean national cannot be deported home under EU and UN conventions as he is from a war-torn country.

Mekonnen was first granted refugee status in August 2005, but in the same month he committed the rape and was later jailed for seven years.

Following his conviction, Ms Justice Maureen Clark, who described Mekonnen as a very damaged and disturbed man who was at high risk of re- offending, also imposed a term of five years of post-release supervision.

2022-08-26 23:36:05 They told Red FM that they closed over a concern they were breeching discrimination laws while they sought legal advice. This is a direct quote from them which I posted previously:

"Following the concerns of Mr. Blighe, a legal interpretation is needed as the hub is operating differently to a charity shop because it provides free service only to those fleeing war."

They're now telling the Examiner they closed because "they fear being attacked by some who take issue with their work" (feeds nicely into the scary far-right narrative) but that they may not need to open back up in September due to lower numbers of Ukrainians arriving.

In July, Ministers were told to expect another 33,000 Ukrainians by the end of the year.

There's a lie to be uncovered here. Don't expect the regime media to uncover it though.
