Africans with blue contact lenses called "the Irish hunter gatherer population" arrived 10,000 years ago. It's not suggested where they came from.

Then 6,000 years ago, immigrant farmers from "what we now know as modern-day Turkey" arrived (by Ryanair) in a "dramatic colonisation event".

I still haven't watched it yet but I'm hearing that a secondary narrative implied in the documentary is that subsequent paler immigrant colonisers ruined the ecosystem of the island through deforestation and thus destroyed the blue-eyed African hippy haven.
