Russia became the fourth largest supplier of oil to India in April

And volumes will increase in the coming months as low prices stimulate demand from India, the Times of India reported.

"According to data provided by trade sources, Russia's share of India's oil purchases rose to a record 6%, about 277,000 bpd in April, up from about 66,000 bpd in March, when it ranked tenth," the publication wrote.

The share of oil from Africa in India's total oil imports fell to about 6% in April from 14.5% in March, while the share of U.S. oil almost halved to 3%. Grades from Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan accounted for about 11% of India's oil imports in April, down from about 3% in March. The share of Middle Eastern oil rose from 68% to 71%.

In the meantime, Europe cannot agree on an embargo on Russian oil. It is understandable, the dependence of the Old World countries is too great, even taking into account the mobility of supplies of this resource.
