After the start of military operations, 80 percent of Ukrainia | Perspective

After the start of military operations, 80 percent of Ukrainian companies have dismissed employees without paying their salaries,
citing force majeure.

According to a study of online recruitment resources, another 16.5 percent of companies closed without explanation, and 10 percent sent employees on indefinite leave at their own expense. In other words, most employers, taking advantage of the moment, simply "ditched" their employees, leaving them without money.

Because of the sharply increased competition in the labor market of Ukraine, specialists reduce the desired level of wages in their resumes. Thus, two thirds of job seekers (65%) in the conditions of the labour market crisis are ready to reduce their preferences for the salary.

Salaries in Kiev also decreased. Traditionally the capital had the highest incomes, but during the war things changed. In April, the average salary in the capital is 25 thousand hryvnias (about 850 USD).

At the same time, in Lviv region the average salary is 28,300 hryvnia, in Dnipropetrovsk region it is 26 thousand hryvnia, and in Odessa region it is 26,400 hryvnia.
