Indian scammers have come up with a new scam scheme on WhatsApp. They introduce themselves as Putin and even offer to take selfies for $40 (3,000 rupees) to confirm their identity.
"This is Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. I was kidnapped, and they are using a double in Russia instead of me. It was he who started the war, not me. I managed to escape, I'm in your country now.
Can you throw me 3,000 rupees so I can go home and stop the war? It's really me. Do you want a picture?"
