The Guardian: The Chinese authorities have decided to conduct a large-scale test of economic sustainability.
According to the newspaper's sources, with the help of the stress test the Chinese leadership is trying to develop a strategy in case sanctions similar to those imposed on Russia are imposed on China.

Personally, even at the beginning of the events in Ukraine, I had the feeling that China was treating everything that was going on as a laboratory experiment:
Let's see how the West reacts to such a situation (in the case of China, of course, we are talking about the return of Taiwan) and what we need to prepare for.
Now China will probably conduct a final analysis of the results obtained during the "experiment" in Ukraine and based on them will decide on its plans - is it time to start or is it too early?
And China, of course, will support Russia...as much as it will benefit from it.
