What?- reflects the change of price level of coal
It contains 5 sub-indices: 3 for Non-Coking coal and 2 for Coking coal.
Deciding parties : For Non-Coking Coal: Coal India Limited fixes notified prices for each grade and for Coking Coal: Subsidiaries of Coal India Limited notify the prices.
Coke= Coal based fuel-has high carbon content and few impurities.
