1) The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday launched its Artificial Intelligence portal: SUPACE (Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Courts Efficiency).
Through this portal, the SC intends to leverage machine learning to deal with the vast amounts of data received at the time of filing of cases.

2) Four sailors from the country will compete at this year's Olympics after Vishnu Saravanan and the pair of Ganapathy Chengappa and Varun Thakkar made the cut for Tokyo at the Asian Qualifiers in Oman.
It is also the first time that India will compete in three sailing events in the Olympics.

3) India has the third highest number of billionaires in the world after the US and China, according to a new list by the prestigious Forbes magazine, which said Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani reclaimed his spot as Asia’s richest person, dethroning Chinese business tycoon Jack Ma who was the richest person in the region a year ago.

Forbes' 35th annual list of the world’s billionaires is topped by Amazon CEO and Founder Jeff Bezos for the fourth year in a row. His net worth is USD 177 billion, up USD 64 billion from a year ago as a result of surging Amazon shares.

4) Alfred V. Aho has won the AM Turing Award 2020 for his research and influential text books on fundamental algorithms and theory underlying programming language implementation.

His books have educated generations of computer scientists.
The AM Turing Award is informally known as the "Nobel Prize of computing.

5) In a bid to give a fillip to digital payments banks, the Reserve Bank of India has hiked the maximum end of day balance for payment banks to Rs 2 lakh from Rs 1 lakh.

6) India hosted a Meeting of BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors virtually.
The meeting was jointly Chaired by Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Governor, Reserve Bank of India, Shri. Shaktikanta Das. Participants included Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the BRICS countries.

7) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to put in place a secondary market Government Security Acquisition Programme (G-SAP) 1.0 for orderly evolution of the yield curve amid comfortable liquidity.

The first auction under G-SAP aggregating ₹25,000 crore will be conducted on April 15, 2021.

8) Government appointed economic affairs secretary Tarun Bajaj as revenue secretary and brought in Bangalore Metro chief Ajay Seth as the new secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA).

Bajaj, a 1988-batch Haryana-cadre IAS officer who has served in the PMO, has played a big role in the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ package.
