Koyeb added identity verification for new users!

Since after discontinuation of free tier provided by Heroku, large users moved to Koyeb a serverless platform which also increased the abuse of free tier that they offer. Just to avoid this, they added identity verification for all new users in which one need to provide valid payment method & address through which it can be charged for its usage.

Added to this, Koyeb also planned to start charging their users from March 2023 and it can be the valid reason that why they asking for valid payment & address details, to prevent any over due once they start charging. Probably, they will also ask for the same to their existing users before the given data & will provide 30 days notice.

After a while of notifying users, Heroku finally ended their free services and scaled all free apps/databases to 0, while some containers are still working but will be disabled by tomorrow i.e. 1/12/22.

That means, if your app or database is scaled to 0 then you immediately need to upgrade your account to at least eco plan to stop the deletion.

Added to this, Heroku already disabled free deployments and an user now needs to add a valid 'payment method' to deploy their app. ओपन / कमेंट
