While AI has the potential to significantly enhance democratic processes by improving engagement and efficiency, it also poses substantial risks by enabling the manipulation of information and undermining the authenticity of communication.Therefore the advent of AI in politics necessitates an overhaul of how civil society functions.
Why are we saying this?- Because Civil society is pushed towards programming over mobilization, risking the dilution of democratic participation. AI can create realistic deepfakes that can be used to spread false narratives and disrupt elections.
