Example - I don't want all and sundry to come to know about our differences.

alpha and omega - the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the entirety of something

Example - The strategy to control inflation remains the alpha and omega of the government's economic policy.

2021-09-12 09:26:12 1) “Scared of” suggests a phobia: I’m *scared of* ghosts and snakes.

“Scared about” = worried about: I’m *scared about* tomorrow’s exam.



2) “Barely no” is a double negative. So are “hardly no” and “scarcely no.”

Change “no” to *any*: There is *barely any* ice cream left.
