FNO Entry Exit Rules Updated and Approved by *SEBI* in today's meeting
SEBI has raised the threshold for stocks entering the F&O segment by revising key benchmarks.
The Median Quarter Sigma Order Size (MQSOS) requirement over the last six months has been increased from the current ₹ 25 lakh to ₹ 75 lakh on a rolling basis. *Likewise, the Market Wide Position Limit (MWPL) has been raised from the current ₹ 500 crore to ₹ 1,500 crore.*
The regulator also stipulates that the Average Daily Value (ADV) over the last six months must not fall below ₹ 30 crore, compared to the previous threshold of
₹ 10 crore.
Following these changes, SEBI anticipates a *Net addition of 5 to 6 new stocks in the F&O category, while approx 24 stocks may be out subject to churn from the current list.*
