UltraTech expands cement capacity
UltraTech Cement (-0.6%) has commissioned 2.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) capacity expansion at its existing grinding unit at Bihar. This additional capacity will help the company meet the growing cement demand in the East region. The total grey cement manufacturing capacity of the company now stands at 129.1 MTPA.

Zydus gets USFDA approval
The pharma company (-1.2%) has received final approval from the USFDA to manufacture and market a new drug, Metoprolol Tartrate Tablets. As per IQVIA, this tablet has annual sales of over $45 million in the US market.

Sheetal Cool Products’ lukewarm Q4
Shares of Sheetal Cool Products plummeted over 13% intraday. This comes after the company declared lower-than-expected March quarterly results. Its revenue from operations declined by 43% YoY to ₹61 crore, while its net profit declined by 47% YoY to ₹3.7 crore.

Alok Industries’ stocks tank
Shares of the textile company were down over 6% intraday. This comes after the company reported weak earnings for its March quarter, with revenue declining and losses increasing significantly. Zomato (+2.1%) clarified on news of Blinkit being ‘temporarily unavailable’ after changes in pay structure of delivery partners. Changes were made to address the needs of delivery partners, improve customer experience, and reduce frauds. The disruptions and changes had no material impact on the company's operations and financial performance.

BPCL to set up renewable power capacity
Bharat Petroleum announced its plan to set up 240 MW green power facilities at the cost of ₹1,600 crore this fiscal. The solar and wind power facilities will be situated in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

BEML Land Assets’ lukewarm debut
BEML Land Assets, a subsidiary of state-run BEML, saw a 5% drop in shares to ₹287 on its market debut. The listing is part of the company's hiving-off plans to separate its non-core and surplus assets into a new wholly-owned subsidiary. Under the scheme of demerger, shareholders will get one BEML Land Assets share for each share held in BEML.
