Did you know, incorporated in 1997, PVR Limited is the market leader in terms of screen count in India. The company opened its first cinema theater in Delhi in 1997 and in 2008, PVR reached the milestone of 100-screens.
Currently, as of Q3FY22, it operates 860 screens in 179 cinemas in 73 cities with an aggregate seating capacity of 1,82,000 seats.
In 2004, PVR had launched India’s largest multiplex and India’s first Gold class cinema at Forum Mall, Bengaluru. Later in 2008, the company got listed on BSE and NSE stock exchanges. And in March 2022, PVR announced a merger with INOX Leisure Limited.
