●DSRV is a type of deep-submergence vehicle used for rescue of downed submarines and clandestine missions. 
●Indian Navy’s DSRV system can locate a submarine upto 1,000m depth utilising its state of the art Side Scan Sonar (SSS) and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
●Indian Navy has deployed two DSRVs at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam on the west and east coast respectively to provide redundancy, high operational availability and early response to deal with a submarine contingency.

●International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) released report titled 2021 Global Food Policy Report.

Heat Wave
●Heat-wave is a condition of atmospheric temperature that leads to physiological stress, which sometimes can claim human life.
●Heat-wave is defined as the condition where maximum temperature at a grid point is 3oC or more than the normal temperature, consecutively for 3 days or more.
●World Meteorological Organization defines a heat wave as five or more consecutive days during which the daily maximum temperature exceeds the average maximum temperature by five degrees Celsius.
● If the maximum temperature of any place continues to be more than 45oC consecutively for two days, it is called a heat wave condition.

Meghdoot App
●It is Mobile Application launched by Ministries of Earth Sciences and Agriculture.
●Objective: It will provide location, and crop and livestock-specific weather-based agro advisories to farmers in local languages.
●It will provide forecast relating to temperature, rainfall, humidity, and wind speed and direction, which play critical roles in agricultural operations.
●The information would be updated twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
●The app would provide information in the form of images, maps and pictures to help the farmer to have a clearer picture of what is in store.
●It has been integrated with WhatsApp and Facebook as well to help farmers share advisories among themselves. It will also be integrated with YouTube in future.

Pandita Ramabai Sarasvati

●Pandita Ramabai was a women's rights & education activist, a pioneer in the education and emancipation of women in India, and a social reformer.
●She was the first woman to be awarded the titles of Pandita as a Sanskrit scholar and Sarasvati after being examined by the faculty of the University of Calcutta.
●In 1882, Ramabai, moved to Pune where she founded the Arya Mahila Samaj, a society of high-caste Hindu women working for the education of girls and against child marriage.
●At this time she published her first book, Morals for Women, or in the original Marathi Stri Dharma Niti. 
●She suggested that teachers be trained, women school inspectors be appointed, and that Indian women should be admitted to medical colleges.
●She has also published the book The High-Caste Hindu Woman, which sought to expose the oppression of women in Hindu-dominated British India.
●In 1889 she opened her Sharada Sadan (or Home for Learning) in Bombay after returning to India.
●The Sharada Sadan was one of her many initiatives working for the education of women (from young girls to adults) and for security for widows.

●It also includes the erstwhile Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary protected area in Kerala.
● It is in the Sungam range of hills between the Anaimalai Hills and Nelliampathy Hills.
●Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as part of the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve on 19 February 2010.
●Parambikulam Tiger Reserve implements the Participatory Forest Management Scheme (PFMS).

●Donations to PM CARES Fund would qualify for 80G benefits for 100% exemption under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
●Donations to PM CARES Fund will also qualify to be counted as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenditure under the Companies Act, 2013.
