1) Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan virtually launched the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP).
This day shall be written in Golden Letters as a day that marks a milestone in the history of disease surveillance. We have started a new chapter in India's public health trajectory. India is the first country in the world to adopt such an advanced disease surveillance system.

2) The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed an Advanced Chaff Technology to safeguard naval ships against enemy missile attack.
Defence laboratory Jodhpur (DLJ), a DRDO laboratory, has indigenously developed three variants of this critical technology -- Short Range Chaff Rocket (SRCR), Medium Range Chaff Rocket (MRCR) and Long Range Chaff Rocket (LRCR) -- meeting Indian Navy's qualitative requirements.

3) ACI Worldwide released a new report that indicated more than 70.3 billion real-time payments transactions were processed globally in 2020, a surge of 41 per cent compared to the previous year.
According to the report, India retained the top spot with 25.5 billion real-time payments transactions, followed by China with 15.7 bn transactions.
4) In a bid to promote the domestic defence industry, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has allowed private sector firms to both develop and produce missile systems such as vertical launched surface to air missile systems programme.
5) The Prime Minister hold his annual interaction, Pariksha Pe Charcha with almost 14 participants, including students, teachers and parents bon April 7.

7) Celebrated annually on April 7, World Health Day aims to draw attention to topics of concern affecting people around the globe.

9) 14 April 2021 will mark the 130th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The Centre declared Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April, a public holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.
10) India's rental furniture and appliance market, dominated by the likes of RentoMojo, Furlenco, Rentickle, and CityFurnish, is now worth Rs33,500 crore, with top 20 cities accounting for 55% of the total addressable market, as per data from management consultancy Redseer.
