7) India's state-owned gas firm GAIL has achieved the world's first ship-to-ship liquefied natural gas (LNG) transfer, reducing shipping costs and cutting emissions.
➨ GAIL has contracted 5.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG from the US and ships it to India via LNG vessels.

8) The "One Station One Product" scheme of the Indian Railways, launched with an objective to promote the 'Vocal for Local' vision, is now operational at 1,037 stations across the country.

10) Indian skydiver Shital Mahajan jumped off a helicopter from the height of 21,500 ft in front of the world's highest peak, Mt Everest.

11) Sahara Group's Subrata Roy passed away at the age of 75 in Mumbai due to cardiorespiratory arrest.
➨ Roy was the founder and chairman of the Sahara India Pariwar, a conglomerate with diversified business interests.

12) The Airgun Surrender Abhiyan initiative of Arunachal Pradesh Government has been selected as India's best success story on wildlife conservation to present in the UNESCO's International Conference on Biosphere Reserves held at Sabah, Malaysia.
