2) India is ranked 117th in the list of 129 countries in the world in the inclusiveness index published by the Othering and Belonging Institute (OBI) at California University, United States.
➨ Smaller countries like Bangladesh (106) and Israel (115) were placed better than India.
3) The Government of India signed a $400 million policy-based loan with Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support its urban reform agenda for creating high quality urban infrastructure, improving service delivery, and promoting efficient governance systems.
4) India won five medals in compound archery, including three gold medals on the final day of the 2023 Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok. India finished with seven medals at the tournament overall.
5) The Indian Air Force (IAF) has named the S-400 air defence missile system as "Sudarshan" after Lord Krishna's weapon, "Sudarshan Chakra".
➨The name was announced during the exercise 'Poorvi Akash', which was carried out by the Eastern Air Command.

6) The Southern Naval Command, Kochi, hosted a two day seminar, themed 'AatmaNirbhar Air Arm of the Indian Navy 2023'.
➨ The event is being conducted under the aegis of Headquarters Naval Aviation.
7) India's state-owned gas firm GAIL has achieved the world's first ship-to-ship liquefied natural gas (LNG) transfer, reducing shipping costs and cutting emissions.
➨ GAIL has contracted 5.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG from the US and ships it to India via LNG vessels.
8) The "One Station One Product" scheme of the Indian Railways, launched with an objective to promote the 'Vocal for Local' vision, is now operational at 1,037 stations across the country.
9) An assistant professor named Dr Sanjeeb Mishra in the department of community medicine at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla has received the prestigious National Academic Excellence Award from the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
10) Indian skydiver Shital Mahajan jumped off a helicopter from the height of 21,500 ft in front of the world's highest peak, Mt Everest.
➺ She became the first woman to do so. Mahajan landed at Kalapatthar peak at an altitude 17,444ft.
11) Sahara Group's Subrata Roy passed away at the age of 75 in Mumbai due to cardiorespiratory arrest.
➨ Roy was the founder and chairman of the Sahara India Pariwar, a conglomerate with diversified business interests.
12) The Airgun Surrender Abhiyan initiative of Arunachal Pradesh Government has been selected as India's best success story on wildlife conservation to present in the UNESCO's International Conference on Biosphere Reserves held at Sabah, Malaysia.
