2) In a historic move, the five-nation Brics (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) grouping agreed by a consensus to expand with effect from January 1, 2024, to include six new members, that will take its total membership to 11 nations.
➨ These new six member-nations will be Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
3) Digital payments company Mastercard has signed up as one of International Cricket Council’s (ICC) top-tier sponsors for the 2023 World Cup in India.

12) The 'Right To Protein' campaign released the ‘Nutrition Awareness Index 2023', a state-wise index assessing awareness, affordability, and accessibility of nutrition in India as perceived by end-consumers (citizens).
