About

The program is to empower women in the agriculture sector.

The program will mainly focus on small-scale women producers.

Initially, the program is to be implemented in Cooch Behar district and Alipurduar district of West Bengal.

The Union Minister of Earth Sciences said that an umbrella scheme Research, Education and Training Outreach (REACHOUT) is being implemented by the Ministry of Earth Sciences for capacity building.

About

The Research, Education and Training Outreach (REACHOUT) scheme consists of
R&D in Earth System Science (RDESS).

International Training Centre for Operational Oceanography (ITCOocean).

Program for Development of Skilled manpower in Earth System Sciences (DESK).

This scheme is being implemented for the entire country and not State/UT-wise.

The main objectives

Supporting various R &D activities in the thrust areas of different components of Earth System Sciences that are theme and need-based and that would help in attaining the National goals set up for MoES.

Develop useful collaborations with international organizations for the mutual transfer of advanced knowledge in science and technology in Earth Sciences and to provide services to developing countries. ओपन / कमेंट

The Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare informed Lok Sabha about the LaQshya Programme.

About

It aims to ensure Quality of Care during intrapartum and immediate post-partum periods in Labour Room and Maternity Operation Theatre.

It covers all Government Medical College Hospitals, District Hospitals & equivalent health facilities, designated FRUs as well as high case load CHCs.

Goal is to reduce preventable maternal and newborn mortality, morbidity and stillbirths associated with the care around delivery in the Labour room and Maternity OT and ensure respectful maternity care.

Under the purview of LaQshya, one of the facility-level targets is to achieve a 5% or less Surgical Site Infection Rate in Maternity OT or at least a reduction of 30% from the baseline.
