Farfarout (or 2018 AG37) is our solar system's most distant known object. It is a trans-Neptunian object that was first detected in 2018, at an estimated distance of 132 astronomical units (AU) from the sun — farther away than any object had ever been observed. In comparison, Pluto is 39.5 AU away from the sun. Even sunlight takes 18 hours to reach this trans-Neptunian object, 2018 AG37.

Note: Trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) are any objects in the solar system that have an orbit beyond Neptune.
