Meta Prepares For its Second Round of Layoffs in Four Months

Mark Zuckerberg has described 2023 as Meta’s “Year of efficiency.” Since the start of 2023 however, it’s been staging something of a comeback with 47% gain YTD.

The company’s profit margins have been slipping with the most recently reported margins for Q4 2022 sitting at under 14.5% comoared to the same quarter of the year prior which were almost 31%. Meta already let go of 13% of its global workforce in November.

Perhaps its job-cutting approach will give it the kick start it needs.
