What do We know about Federalism?
Federalism in essence is a dual government system including the Centre and a number of States. Federalism is one of the pillars of the Basic Structure of the Constitution of India.

A Federal theorist K.C. Wheare has argued that the nature of Indian Constitution is quasi-federal in nature.
The Supreme Court, too, in Sat Pal v State of Punjab and Ors (1969), held that the Constitution of India is more Quasi-federal than federal or unitary.
The respective legislative powers of states and Centre are traceable to Articles 245 to 254 of the Indian Constitution.

What is Carbon Farming?
Carbon farming (also known as carbon sequestration) is a system of agricultural management that helps the land store more carbon and reduce the amount of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) that it releases into the atmosphere.
It involves practices that are known to improve the rate at which CO2 is removed from the atmosphere and converted to plant material and soil organic matter.
Carbon farming is successful when carbon gains resulting from enhanced land management or conservation practices exceed carbon losses.

अनुसंधान का नेतृत्व मैक्स प्लैंक इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर इंटेलिजेंट सिस्टम्स (MPI-IS) और मैक्स प्लैंक इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर सॉलिड स्टेट रिसर्च (MPI-FKF), स्टटगार्ट, जर्मनी द्वारा किया गया।

ये माइक्रोबॉट्स छोटे इंसानों की तरह ही हैं।

दोनों पक्षों ने मछुआरों के मुद्दे पर भी चर्चा की और भारत ने श्रीलंका को 2.4 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की।
इससे पहले दोनों देश श्रीलंका के आर्थिक संकट को कम करने में मदद हेतु खाद्य और ऊर्जा सुरक्षा पर चर्चा करने के लिये चार-आयामी दृष्टिकोण पर सहमत हुए थे।

वर्ष 2015 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा की 70वीं बैठक में ‘2030 सतत् विकास हेतु एजेंडा’ के तहत सदस्य देशों द्वारा 17 विकास लक्ष्य अर्थात् एसडीजी (Sustainable Development goals-SDGs) तथा 169 प्रयोजन अंगीकृत किये गए हैं।

क्या है सतत् विकास?

‘पर्यावरण तथा विकास पर विश्व आयोग’ (1983) के अंतर्गत बर्टलैंड कमीशन द्वारा जारी रिपोर्ट (1987) के अनुसार–‘आने वाली पीढ़ी की अपनी आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने की क्षमता से समझौता किये बिना वर्तमान पीढ़ी की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने हेतु विकास ही सतत् विकास है।’
