Hellooooo Future Cadets !!!
Flunking in the Exam is easy. Getting over and getting back to the grind is NOT. And flunking in the Final List is among the biggest known painful experiences one can have.
I received plethora of messages from students sharing their results. Many have cracked the Exam; this post is NOT for them. There are already people who would put you on posters. Celebrate, if you wish, with them.
This post is for those warriors who might have lost the battle but are still eager to win the War. The War to conquer these exams. I know you would be feeling bruised, battered and betrayed. It might seem that all the hard work you did for the written and SSB has gone down the drain. It might seem to you that those less deserving than you have qualified.
I know how it feels. Been there.
But the good thing is….
Feelings are ephemeral – like the life of a wave. They come and go. I mean you could at the peak of the confidence curve by evening, and may feel like crap the very next morning. Simply because you woke up too late.
There are three things about feelings I want you to know:
One, they are feelings, they come and go.
Two, they may have no co-relation with reality. I mean, you could be doing kick ass and may be screwed up in the head. And vice-versa, you could be screwed up with your preparation, and may still be on the top of mood curve. Three – and this is the most important – our feelings have little co-relation with reality – but have the potential of having real life outcomes.
So do not let your feelings interfere with your performance or deviate you from the task at hand.
The task of pulling up your socks once again and to continue preparing with double the zeal and energy. For,
गिरते हैं शहसवार ही मैदान-ए-जंग में ।
वो तिफ़्ल क्या गिरेगा जो घुटनों के बल चले
Will see you soon !
