उत्तराखंड सरकार ने महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण रोजगार गारंटी अधिनियम (MGNREGA) के तहत कार्य दिवसों की संख्या को मौजूदा 100 दिनों से बढ़ाकर 150 दिन करने की घोषणा की है. मनरेगा के तहत कार्य दिवसों में वृद्धि की यह घोषणा उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने की थी. मनरेगा कार्य दिवसों को बढ़ाने में आने वाली लागत का वहां उत्तराखंड सरकार द्वारा किया जायेगा. मनरेगा वर्ष 2005 में पारित किया गया था. मनरेगा का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में आजीविका सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए 100 दिनों का रोजगार प्रदान करना है.
The Government of Uttarakhand has announced to increase the number of working days under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) from the present 100 days to 150 days. This announcement of increase in working days under MNREGA was made by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. The cost incurred in extending the MNREGA working days will be borne by the Uttarakhand government there. MNREGA was passed in the year 2005. The objective of MNREGA is to provide 100 days of employment to provide livelihood security in rural areas.
