Day 12/365: Champhai in Mizoram is beautiful all year round. It is also known as the rice bowl of Mizoram. It lies on the eastern corner of Mizoram sharing the international border with the Republic of Myanmar, and is also the main business hub in the east. It is famous for their exotic rice grown on these paddy fields and also their exotic wine grown in the vineyards of Champhai. One can reach, by road using shared cabs or hired luxury cars.
It has a moderate climate, with temperature not more than 30 degrees and winter can go as low as -degrees.
A must see places are Rih Lake, just an hour drive from Champhai, The Vineyards, Mualnuam.
