Our Lord Almighty is always close to us, but we stay away from Him. However, in the state of prostration, we are blessed with a special closeness to Him; therefore, we should consider this closeness as a golden opportunity and supplicate for whatever we can ask for. From this blessed Hadith, some scholars hold the opinion that prostration is better than qiyam (standing in worship). Similarly, some people supplicate in prostration of gratitude; their inspiration is also this blessed Hadith. May Allah grant us tawfiq!
