Issues in PSBs
1)With huge NPA's-->erosion of banks profitablity-->restricted the ability to financing
2)PSBs deposit rates are stickier than private banks, this reduces the income of PSBs
Conclusion :
RBI's banking research division warned against the privatisation as a panacea for all the sector's ills.
Big Bang privatisation of PSBs will do more harm than the good, a more cautious and nuanced approach is needed
