Why agriculture credit system is flawed?

- Absence of Expertise of systemtic credit risk assessment-
- Credit= Asset for bank- What do you need to make it work?-risk assessment ability- Banks dont have them- Instead focuses on Priority sector lending- fail to hit PSL- deposit in NABARD- bad policy as they reach state govt- not farmers directly
- Corruption- Interest subvention scheme- diverted to non farm purposes.
- Some big farmers- use them as FDs and re lend to smaller farmers
- Long term credit is falling- No credit available for farm mechanization/capital formation=less producitivity

There was a term called cognitive hacking- Cognitive hacking is a cyberattack that seeks to manipulate the perception of people by exploiting their psychological vulnerabilities. The purpose of the attack is changes in behavior, usually resulting from exposure to misinformation

Till now it isn't seen as a technical threat but more to do with politic and vested interests- now is the time to change that with the advent of deep fakes- Deep Fakes are the digital media (video, audio, and images) manipulated using Artificial Intelligence.
