Is there an animal with only one eye?
Yes-there is one group of animals that have only one eye. These crea tures are known as cyclops. They belong to the same family as that of the shrimp and lobster. But unlike them cyclops only have one eye.
Even though its name is a little scary, the creature is not scary at all. In fact, it is very small in size and you will never see one that is more than two centimetres in length. The eye of the cyclops is a median eye, that is, one which helps in detecting the chang es in light. It is situated near the top of the head, between the antennae.
